1. The local damage repair technology of the conveyor belt can prolong the service life. (1) Local heat vulcanization. It is often said that the heat vulcanization of the conveyor belt requires a vulcanizer. (2) Partially cold splashing. The product is equipped with German Dipute technology liquid polymer composite repair material, etc., but it needs to be cured at room temperature for about 10h; (3) Partially cold-bonded, using German TOPTECH repair strip (longitudinal split), cold adhesive-T2 composite adhesive to fill the crack in the longitudinal direction (requires special glue gun). The advantages of these two methods are less investment in human and material resources, better wear and reinforcement performance, and shorter recovery time. The disadvantages are higher requirement on environment and cannot be restored to the original leveling surface of conveyor belt; (4) Conveyor belt spray repair technology. The technology is to mix several liquid materials through special equipment, and spray on the belt wear surface under high pressure. The spray thickness for the wear layer is as needed. The curing time is short and suitable for the large local wear, and the effect is very good. The disadvantage is that the special equipment is needed.

　　2. Improve the drop hopper of conveyor belt. It is one of the effective measures to prevent early damage of the conveyor belt. Improving the drop hopper of each belt conveyor can increase the passing capacity of the foreign object by 2.5 times. The long and large foreign objects are not easy to get caught between the hopper wall and the conveyor belt during the conveying process, and the incidence of conveyor belt tearing by foreign objects is reduced.

The guide skirt at the drop hopper create a larger and larger gap with the conveyor belt along the running direction of the conveyor belt, solving the problem that the coal block and the stone block are caught between the conveyor belt and the skirt, so as eliminate the conveyor belt damage accordingly. The hopper with large drop internally installed with a buffer baffle can prevent the material from directly impacting the conveyor belt.
